It's been happening since long before there were epidurals or doulas, Lovenox or IVF. Women have been getting pregnant - and not getting pregnant.Pregnancy and infertility is a tough topic. Reading about it can be rough on women who crave the gift of a baby in their belly. But there is a wealth of beautiful writing out there by women who share their fears, sorrow, disgust and giddiness. These women have created a valuable community.Through loss and gain, the ten women whose blogs we adore give us the gift of their reproductive experiences. They tell the most intimate stories; the details told only between the best of friends until blogging came along. Don't stop with the bloggers' posts, because the comments are invaluable too. Hundreds more outpourings appear there. Sure, not everyone has trouble getting pregnant, but everyone needs support, even if it's just to know that she doesn't, in fact, have the most swollen ankles in recorded history. And, of course, there's humor amidst the chaos, like Ova Girl's nephew telling her that he hopes she has a boy, since girls "have no common sense."It's difficult to find fabulous blogs by pregnant women while they are still pregnant, since although it feels like a lifetime, pregnancy is fleeting. These wonderful ten - some pregnant, some still working at it - are all shouting through cyberspace, "You're not alone."Related Top 10 Sources: Motherhood | Womens Health | Health News | Fatherhood

Wow, my fourth 4th of July since I've been blogging. I should have some sort of eloquent, engaging post here. Perhaps on the idea of patriotism, and is it really demonstrated with flag pins? Or maybe something about how I...

The Screaming Tomato would like it to be known that he does not approve of airline travel. To begin with there was promise of "aeroplanes", it was all aeroplane this and aeroplane that as we set off from home in the (smelly) taxi. But when we boarded said "aeroplane" they disappeared. Despite numerous loud requests for...

In light of my horrid fucking unending PMS (seriously--it's been over two weeks. And NO I'm not pregnant, silly) and today's third-time-this-week wicked migraine--which is leading to an incredibly short temper and complete lack of patience--I thought I'd post about...

Her first word. Last night, I was reading Clifford Counts Bubbles to Caroline when she said her first real word, aside from a loosely-applied "Dada" and a mumbly "Mama" directed at no one in particular. The book, as you may...

During my customary — nay, my compulsive perusal of pregnancy-and-baby magazines in waiting room after waiting room, I saw this photo running alongside a question in an advice column. A newly pregnant woman ostensibly sought answers on how to tell...

...you were wondering, a great treatment for seriously psycho raging PMS (you so did not want to know me today), is the following. As you take your two year old daughter upstairs to go to bed, have her gently place...

Damn, y'all are some promotion happy people. Smart too. If I had oodles of cash, and my own private jet to haul out with me to San Francisco 1,000 chocolate sippy cups full of imprinted m&m's, well, I sure as...

And you can't catch me!!!
Trying to take a photo of Miss Poppy when she is not asleep is nigh on impossible. The girl cannot stop moving.
She has been transfixed by Crufts on the tellybox this weekend though.
Sometime this year I may be able to craft a post that is not about the dog but I would not want you to hold...
